It is definitely possible, in America—the melting pot of the world—to taste the cuisine of every different country around the planet. Among that wide selection, Turkish cuisine, with its attractive dishes and rich palate, continues to draw the attention of many individuals. When the unique dishes that combine the flavor of the Middle East and Aegean regions meet the skillful hand of the Turkish ladies, the result is a spectacularly visual fest of taste and color. In order to introduce this richness to local Angelinos, Pacifica Institute has launched its series of cooking classes.
With classes that meet every other week, the participants not only get to learn how to make practical and delicious dishes, but after actively taking part in the preparation of the meals, they also get the chance to taste what they have prepared. The fact that they also learn small tidbits and practical solutions around the kitchen, also adds to their enjoyment. Gathering around a set-table after a tiring lesson goes a long way towards strengthening friendships as cheerful conversations accompany the shared meal.
At the end of each session, participants leave for home with the satisfaction and joy of having tasted and learned to make the dishes which they put together hand-in-hand. The next sessions are always filled with a sharing of stories as the students speak about their own experiences at having made the dishes at home and having received a big thums up for it.
Hoping to expand their circle of students day by day, the Pacifica Institute-Los Angeles cooking class invites all Angelino kitchen enthusiasts to be a part of this fun experience.
