Join over 40,000 people over a span of four days for the Anatolian Cultures & Food Festival 2011 at the OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa from October 6 through October 9.

Enter the festival and you find yourself passing through the “Civilizations Path” where you will see fourteen gates with actors in authentic costumes representing the different civilizations throughout the history of Anatolia. As well, there are 3-D giant-sized replicas of Istanbul, Konya, Antalya, Mardin, Van, and the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul where visitors can browse around the various booths and see displayed goods. Immerse yourself in cultural exhibitions, food, art craft, performances, dances, and live music activities!

This seems like a really interesting event and a great way to open your eyes to a lot of history. However, for a poor college student who has been spending a lot of money on shopping lately, the admissions are a tad bit pricy, though if this been summer, my chances of going to this would be much higher.
