The Hizmet movement is a transnational, faith-inspired, civic society movement inspired by Muslim scholar Fethullah Gulen. The movement functions around the globe with educational institutes, interfaith-intercultural dialogue centers, media institutions, and humanitarian aid organizations with participants from diverse religious and cultural background. The program aims to focus on the educational and peace-building activities of the Hizmet movement in Nigeria, Philippines, Cambodia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

To this end, the session will host high school and college students from Nigerian-Turkish International College in Abuja, Filipino-Turkish Tolerance High School in Zamboango, and Turkish-Bosnian Burch College in Ilidza. The schools are located in current and past religious and ethnic conflict zones between Islam and Christianity. The invitee students, both Muslim and Christian, are currently attending or graduated from these educational institutes. The students will first touch on the academic-cultural aspects of the education in these schools. Then they will turn to discuss the hitherto and possible contributions of the Hizmet movement, thorough its educational activities, for creation of a culture of coexistence, peacebuilding, and resolution of the ethnically and religiously oriented conflicts in these countries.
