10th Annual was held on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 from 10 am to 2pm. This year, Pacifica Institute joined this collaborative effort sponsored by the Emmanuel Baptist Church Music & Arts Ministry in partnership with Grace Baptist Church. The coat drive was held at the gymnasium of Grace Baptist Church in San Jose.
Pacifica Institute members volunteered their time at this event, donated items for the drive and brought 300 bowls of Noah’s pudding (Asure) to this wonderful, well worth the cause event.
There were over 350 people who were served, over 1000 coats were received and $2970.00 was raised for this event. Surely, this event was all about giving and warming peoples’ heart. The coat giveaway was an impressive and successful work of helpful volunteers.
Celinda Marenda from Emmanuel Baptist Church thanked us for partnering and appreciated our volunteers, how helpful they were and enjoyed the Turkish delight. She commented, what a phenomenal day and great blessing it is to serve the community together.
Mr. Mahmut Altun, Director of Pacifica Institute, graciously thanks all members and volunteers who were part of coat and soup give away. We sure are looking forward to next year’s event.
