Members of the Pacifica Institute Silicon Valley Branch volunteered for a tree planting event on March, 16th, 2013. Trees were planted on the side walk of Page Mill Road, near the corner of Page Mill Road and Hanover in Palo Alto. Twenty-one trees were planted with the help of over 50 volunteers including different organizations, high schools and individuals.
This event was organized by Canopy which is an environmental nonprofit, dedicated to planting and protecting trees in parks, at schools, and streets of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and neighboring communities.
We look forward to more events with Canopy and other local organizations to better serve our community.
