On Sunday, May 21, 2017, Pacifica Institute and AAi had come together again to serve the homeless community in San Jose.

There were around 30 volunteers from Pacifica Institute, Lincoln Glen Church, and several other congregations at this event.

The first part of the event was hosted at Pacifica Institute. There the volunteers were praised for their hard work and time donated to this event.  The volunteers cut and prepared a delicious fruit and veggie salads. Pacifica Institute had also prepared the main meals for the event. There was a also a prayer time for the families struck by the turmoil in Turkey and the turmoil here in the US.

After this, the second part of the event was in the Cityteam Soup Kitchen where the volunteers prepared the plates and passed out over 300 meals and refreshments to the homeless community in San Jose.

It was a great event that focused on peace, love and community outreach and which is what Pacifica Institute and AAi have been trying to reach as one of their many goals in the Silicon Valley.
