On Saturday, September 9 Pacifica Institute hosted a speaker series with the theme of Celebrate Your Freedom by Knowing Your Rights. The event was co-hosted with UNA Midpeninsula chapter, UNA Silicon Valley chapter, ACLU – American Civil Liberties Union, and SIVIC – Silicon Valley Interreligous Council.
There were two panelists – board members from ACLU mid-peninsula chapter: Vandana Varanasif and Dave Wilson. They provided invaluable tips on how to best interact and respond to different law enforcement agents. The attendees found the presentation very timely and helpful.
