Over 60 members from 13 chapters attended the highly successful United Nations Association (UNA) Northern California Division’s Semi Annual Meeting on February 10th at Pacifica Institute in Sunnyvale, California.  UNA-USA is the largest advocacy non-partisan group in the nation and works continuously to support the vital efforts of the United Nations and its multilateral agencies.

Chapter leaders came from Monterey, Sacramento, to San Francisco and Sonoma to attend this important meeting that was co-sponsored by Silicon Valley UNA, Pacifica Institute and Rose Academies.  Guest speaker, Micah Spangler, from Better World Foundation traveled from Washington DC to address the group. His presentation touched on the importance of UNA’s efforts to advocate for continued support of the UN.  Other topics included discussions about the 70 year anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Global Goals, and methods to improve our outreach and advocacy efforts. The long day was a complete success due to Pacifica Institute’s gracious hospitality.
