On Tuesday night, Muslims, Jews, Christians, Bahais, and people of all
faiths, came together at for an iftar dinner at Peninsula Temple Beth
El. About 200 attendees were led in conversation by Rabbi Laura Rumpf
of Peninsula Temple Beth El, Pastor Connie Winter-Eulberg of St
Andrew’s Lutheran church, and Pacifica Institute’s Mahmut Altun.
Dinner guests heard personal stories of building connection across
faith and were asked to share their own stories at their tables.

My organization, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) along
with the Peninsula Multifaith Coalition were fortunate to bring the
community together to break bread with our partners and friends of the
Pacifica Institute. At my own table I was blessed to hear cross
generational stories of the classroom, the sanctuary, and the work
place of people learning from one another about each other’s faith
traditional. We also of ate wonderful food and learned about the
customs of Ramadan.

Thank you to Pacifica for your partnership and even more the friendships.
