In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, Pacifica Institute Nor Cal hosted the playhouse building event for a charity sale.Volunteers helped to build a playhouse which were donated to local children. The funds raised through the Playhouse Program support Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope.  They might be little houses, but the Playhouse Program makes a huge impact.

To build a playhouse, volunteers started with the wood components that have been primed and prep for build day. Groups were divided into teams to work on roofing, carpentry, and painting. The playhouses were donated at the end of a build, and the recipient children chose their own themes. So, after the roofing and carpentry were complete, everyone came together to paint and customize the playhouse of a child’s dream.
