Book Clubs

book club

“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”

As Confucius’s above quote states, reading is an art which donate us with the ability of free thinking and awareness of the whole world. Reading is a one person activity but as soon as you wonder the other ladies’ thoughts and share your own ideas in the group, it becomes a shared activity.

We, the volunteers of the Pacifica Institute, started a book club to share our views on our personal readings and to hear about from the other booklovers. If you are interested in attending the club please email us info@pacificainstitute.org

  • Jumpra Lahiri’s The Namesake
  • Nuruddin Farah’s Close Sesame
  • Ursula Le Guin’s The Dispossed
  • Pearl S. Buck’s The Mother

  • Louise Brown’s The Dancing Girls of Lahore
