Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Wolfson welcomed the Pacifica Institute representative Abdullah Akturk to his office. Information about the Institute and upcoming events were presented to the Councilman. In a historic special election in June 2004, Steve Wolfson was elected to the Las Vegas City Council. He represents Ward 2, which encompasses the westernmost portions of the city, including parts of Summerlin. On April 20, 2005, after running unopposed, he was sworn in for his first full term, which ends in June 2009.
