PI Seattle serves meal to the homeless at Eastside Winter Shelter

On March 19th, 2015, Pacifica Institute’s Seattle chapter helped a worthwhile cause by serving hot meal to the homeless at Eastside Women’s Winter Shelter located in Bellevue, WA. Some 50 homeless including women and children benefited from the food donated and served by the young volunteers of the institute.

The shelter provides a temporary place over night for the homeless in the neighborhood. It also seeks hot meal for men and women at locations including local churches. In addition to the food donation, the volunteers presented handmade warm hats and gloves to the homeless.

Eastside Women’s Winter Shelter works on a first come first served basis every night and rely significantly on donations by local individuals and institutions. Without a doubt, the shelter will remain on Pacifica Institute Seattle’s community service agenda.
