{"id":2833,"date":"2010-11-10T06:13:00","date_gmt":"2010-11-10T14:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pacificasvnews.wordpress.com\/2010\/11\/10\/asure-noah%e2%80%99s-pudding"},"modified":"2016-09-12T20:20:37","modified_gmt":"2016-09-13T03:20:37","slug":"asure-noahs-pudding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pacificainstitute.org\/bay-area\/2010\/11\/10\/asure-noahs-pudding\/","title":{"rendered":"ASHURE (Noah\u2019s Pudding)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a style=\"clear: left;float: left;margin-bottom: 1em;margin-right: 1em\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificasv.org\/newsletter\/archive\/s09\/images\/s09\/summerimg4_2tmb.JPG\"><br \/>\n<\/a><strong> <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients (makes 30 servings):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup wheat<\/li>\n<li>1 cup white beans<\/li>\n<li>1 cup garbanzo beans<\/li>\n<li>1 cup raisins<\/li>\n<li>1 cup almonds<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup peanuts<\/li>\n<li>12 dried apricots<\/li>\n<li>5 1\/2 cups sugar<\/li>\n<li>Water (enough to cover)<\/li>\n<li>Topping: walnuts, cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Soak wheat, white beans, garbanzo beans and almonds in water overnight.<\/li>\n<li>Boil the above ingredients; remove the outer shell or skin.<\/li>\n<li>Soak the raisins in boiling water until they soften.<\/li>\n<li>Put all the ingredients above (steps 1-3) in a large pot and boil. Add peanuts and almonds (peeled and cut in half) at this point.<\/li>\n<li>Chop the apricot into small pieces; add to mixture along with sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Boil for 10-15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy your pudding!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*These are the ingredients we chose. Feel free to experiment with other grains, fruits and nuts.
