{"id":4652,"date":"2016-05-22T11:43:07","date_gmt":"2016-05-22T18:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pacificainstitute.org\/bay-area\/?p=4652"},"modified":"2016-09-12T20:20:26","modified_gmt":"2016-09-13T03:20:26","slug":"homeless-dinner-with-abrahamic-alliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pacificainstitute.org\/bay-area\/2016\/05\/22\/homeless-dinner-with-abrahamic-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"40 Volunteers From Different Backgrounds Working Together to Serve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pacifica Institute and Abrahamic Alliance came together again this Sunday on the 15<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0to prepare and distribute meals to the homeless and rehab guests at The City Team Homeless Shelter.\u00a0 There were 40 volunteers that were from different cultural and religious backgrounds that worked together to provide delicious meals. Not only did this benefit the homeless but also gave the volunteers the opportunity to unite and work towards a common goal despite their differences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The meal was served to 160 people, and over 340 meals were served that day with\u00a0smiley faces on both the volunteers and the guests.
