On October 11<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>, International Day of the Girl Child was celebrated in style at Pacifica Institute bringing together like-minded humanitarian organizations for an evening full of delightful entertainment.\u00a0 <\/span>Rose Academies, Silicon Valley UNA, Pacifica Institute, and Set Them Free each expressed the critical need to support social justice and human rights. Keynote speaker, Judge Shelyna Brown, spoke passionately about her own background and the importance of giving girls a vision. Dance groups from Turkey, India and El Salvador were a highlight to the evening, reminding us of the vitality of youth. It is because of our girls that we need to advocate for gender rights and equality so they can reach their full potential in life.<\/span><\/p>\n
