On September 27th<\/sup>, 2018, Pacifica Institute held a training seminar on cyber security and how to better protect ourselves from malicious viruses as well as staying safe on social media.\u00a0 2 Northern California FBI agents held the event and answered questions from the audience. Around 80 people attended. The lecture consisted of understanding what type of frauds to look out for in emails, how to secure your online profiles and how to stay safe with social media and people you may interact with.\u00a0 The seminar ended with a light dinner and conversations between people on different interactions they have had online as well as other tools that could be used for better protecting oneself from hackers.<\/p>\n
