On Saturday, October 21st, Pacifica, Silicon Valley United Nations Association, Mid-Peninsula United Nations Association cohosted an event on behalf of UN Day celebration. The guest speaker was Mike Beard who is the Executive Director of United Nations Foundation (UNF) Advocacy, and the Global Health Director for the Better World Campaign (BWC). There were also speakers from CEDAW and speakers talking about what it means for San Jose to be a Model City. There were over 100 guests with volunteers form Pacifica and both United Nations Association groups.
