Fundraising Dinner 2009 – Hilton Long Beach
Pacifica Institute organized its main fundraising dinner at Hilton Long Beach on the 7th of February, 2009.
The amount collected in 2009 fundraising dinner totaled to 373 thousand dollars thanks to the donors who were present during the dinner.
Dinner started with the National Anthem of Turkey which was sung by the students from the Saturday School of the Pacifica Institute.
LA County Sheriff Leroy Baca joined the fundraising and gave the keynote address. Sheriff Baca pointed out the importance of diversity of the greater Los Angeles community and thanked Pacifica Institute for playing and contributing for the betterment of the lives of the citizens in California.
After the keynote address, the board members and donors of the Pacifica Institute gave him a standing ovation and thanked him for his support to the Turkish Americans in California.
