California Iftar
Guests were welcomed before breaking of the fast with a feast of combination of reed flute and guitar. The musicians from the Bay Area showered the audience from the medieval and contemporary Sufi music.
After the music, there was a video presentation of what fasting and Ramadan is. With the call to prayer, guests are invited to share the meal.
Afterwards, California State Officials and Senators gave their remarks of the night and the occasion that gathered us around the table.
