Remembering September 11: 25 Years Later

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Pacifica Institute remembers with deep respect the thousands of innocent lives lost, along with the families, first responders, and communities forever changed by that tragic day.

As we honor their memory, we also reflect on our shared responsibility to build a society rooted in compassion, dignity, mutual understanding, and respect. September 11 reminds us of the importance of strengthening relationships across faiths, cultures, and communities.

For more than two decades, Pacifica Institute has worked to bring people together through interfaith dialogue, civic engagement, cultural programs, shared meals, and community service. We believe that meaningful relationships can transform fear into friendship, misunderstanding into understanding, and division into cooperation.

Twenty-five years later, our commitment remains clear: to choose peace over hatred, dialogue over isolation, and service over indifference.

May the memory of those we lost inspire all of us to build bridges across our differences and contribute to a more peaceful, compassionate, and harmonious society.
