Friendship Beyond Borders: A Special Gathering with Sarang Community Church

On Saturday, September 13, the Pacifica Institute hosted a memorable program in collaboration with Sarang Community Church. The event brought together community members over food, film, and meaningful conversations, strengthening the bonds of friendship between the Turkish and Korean communities.

The afternoon began with a lively networking session, where participants had the chance to meet new friends and connect across cultures.

Following this, Mr. Mustafa Ulukaya, representing Pacifica Institute, and Pastor Daniel Kang, from Sarang Community Church, delivered warm welcome speeches. Both leaders emphasized that this program is only the beginning of a journey—one that should grow into long-lasting, family-like friendships between the two communities.

The program was smoothly guided by Mr. Murat, who served as the MC, keeping the event engaging and well-organized.

After the speeches, attendees enjoyed the screening of the award-winning film “Ayla: The Daughter of War”, a powerful story highlighting compassion, sacrifice, and the enduring friendship between Turkey and Korea.

The day was filled with heartfelt conversations, cultural sharing, and a spirit of unity. As both communities look forward to future gatherings, this event stands as a strong reminder of how compassion and shared experiences can bring people closer together.
